Dr. Helen Chan - Order Of Ontario
The CRBS would like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Helen Chan for her appointment to the Order of Ontario. The investiture ceremony took place Thursday, January 28, 2010. Dr. Chan is the clinical oncologist associated with the Retinoblastoma Program at SickKids in Toronto, a tremendous scientist and compassionate doctor. Dr. Chan is internationally renowned for her breakthrough treatment of retinoblastoma. Because of this research, more than 90 per cent of diagnosed children in Canada can be cured with chemotherapy.
Thanks Dr. Chan for your many years of dedication to retinoblastoma children in Canada and around the world!

CRBS Symposium 2009: The Future is NOW!
A symposium for RB families and friends was held at the Amphitheatre, Nurses' Residence, 90 Gerrard Street West (kitty corner from SickKids)
on Saturday, June 20, 2009.
This was the fourth symposium for RB families organized by the Canadian Retinoblastoma Society and the Retinoblastoma Programme at The Hospital for Sick Children.
The Focus of the 2009 Symposium was on two huge projects which are culminating in 2009:
The National Retinoblastoma Strategy
And
National RB Awareness Campaign
